FitFlop Gogh Pro Clogs Released In UK

fitflop gogh proIf you talk to FitFlop wearers then you might, quite reasonably expect them to make mention of the fact that they get a free walking workout thanks to their choice of footwear. It is a bit of a big deal after all.

Failing that, they might rave about how they chose their shoes because they liked the bright, colorful style.

However, more often than not, the first thing that FitFlops owners will mention to you is how comfortable their FitFlops are and what a great fit they are. Some may mention how they have less foot or joint ache since they started wearing FitFlops. It’s almost as if the toning element of things is, for a fairly high percentage of FitFlop owners, a nice bonus.

It shouldn’t be surprising perhaps. The special FitFlop “microwobbleboard” sole helps to spread the wearer’s weight more evenly over the surface of the feet. A study at Salford University in the UK found that the pressure loading of the foot was reduced by an average of 25% when compared to a control shoe. The thicker, cushioned heel also helps to reduce impact shock during walking.

If you spend a lot of time on your feet at work, then that could make a difference to how your feet – and your joints – feel at the end of a long shift. According to the FitFlop company website, FitFlop founder Marcia Kilgore has been lobbied in lifts, in grocery stores and in airplanes to produce a hospital friendly FitFlop so that doctors, nurses and other shift workers could enjoy the benefits of the FitFlop sole.

And that’s exactly what FitFlop have done. The new Gogh Pro clog, recently released in the UK is ultra-lightweight, has a non-slip, non-marking sole and has a fully adjustable pivoting strap for a secure hold whilst still giving the ease and convenience of a slip on type shoe.

The main features are as below:

  • Ultra-lightweight clog with a certified non-slip, non-marking outsole
  • Fully adjustable pivoting backstrap allows for slip-on convenience with a secure hold
  • Ergonomical  midsole specially designed by biomechanists, and recommended by podiatrists
  • Thick EVA midsole provides additional shock absorption
  • Certified to ISO20347
  • Airflow eyelets for added ventilation and breathability
  • Anti-bacterial treated footbed lining helps prevent odors

The Gogh Pro comes in a choice of black or white.

I guess only FitFlop can answer that – but based on previous history, it seems likely that they will be in the States before much longer. They do tend to release in the UK first and follow up, usually fairly quickly, in the USA. So hopefully you won’t have too long to wait.

Toni – Sorry to hear that you’re having a problem sourcing these.

If you’re in the UK, you should be able to order these direct from the FitFlop website. This link should work -

I can only find white right now. Hope that’s okay for you.

      Best Regards,
